Fashion Sewing & Tailoring Classes Thursday

We are excited to announce the launch of our Fashion Sewing & Tailoring Classes with Irene Heldens, starting the 5th of September. These professional courses are suitable for all levels and will take place on Thursday evening from 19:00 to 21:15 at House of Confetti.

What to expect?
The first class begins with an introduction to the various machines, their capabilities and settings. You’ll then choose your own project to work on, with personalized guidance provided to help you achieve your desired result. These classes are designed to foster your creativity and build up your skills.

Your teacher
The classes are led by Irene Heldens, a renowned fashion designer with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry and 12 years as a teacher at Akademie Vogue in Amsterdam. Irene is skilled in Pattern Making, Design Realization and Sustainable Fashion. She will guide you through every step, ensuring you master the essential skills of the trade.

Preparation
Think about the garment you’d like to create. You can purchase a pattern magazine or download patterns online. Choose your pattern, select a fabric and if possible pre-cut the pieces. During the classes, you’ll work on your project with expert guidance. Be sure to choose a project that matches your skill level, or bring several options to discuss with Irene.

Practical information
The classes are held weekly at House of Confetti, where all necessary machines and materials like scissors, yarn et cetera are provided. We keep the group size small, with a maximum of six students per class to ensure optimal support. The cost is € 115,- for a block of six lessons.
